Kathryn is an active member of the community. She has served on the Board of Trustees of the Brown County Public Library and the local Rotary club, and as a volunteer through Brown County Literacy Coalition.

After graduating from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio with degrees in French and International Studies, she began a banking career and ultimately served as a commercial relationship manager. Since 1996, she has participated in the family business, McGinley Vacation Cabins, owning and managing overnight and long-term rental properties in Brown County, Indiana. She became active in the real estate industry in 2007. Kathryn is married to Jeff, has a son and daughter and two grandchildren.
